The Kids’ Club was the very first project we initiated. It ran from 2011 to 2017.
Held within the the Egipatsko Selo children’s home, Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the project aims to offer the children opportunities to learn social skills through play, creativity, friendship and belonging; and develop skills for employment and independent living.
Activities include educational, cultural, sports, culinary, environmental, dance, art and entertainment programs, provided by the Foundation’s employees and volunteers.
Through these activities we aim to find solutions to the many physical and psychological challenges faced by the children as they grow up in care, such as difficulties forming relationships, rejection, sexuality, coping with past trauma, and exclusion from education.
Additionally we have helped with the cost of repairing and maintaining the home, as well as supplementing the children’s diet with fresh fruit, and purchasing medication when necessary.
