In the balmy heat of 35 degrees Celcius, the Doha Ladies Rugby Team ran a fundraising quiz evening. The event was attended by over 100 people. A raffle was held with all prizes donated by various businesses from around Doha, and the ladies worked tirelessly all night to sell drinks. About £3000 was raised on the night.
The team is organising a trip to Mostar in the summer and all of the money raised from the quiz will go directly to pay for activities for the children of the Egipatsko Selo orphanage.
Sincere thanks to the Doha Ladies Rugby Team and everyone who helped to make the event happen. It’s only as a result of funds raised from events like this that the children have an opportunity to escape the monotony of life within the orphanage. Thank you!
